Laws Can Be Good for You, Mayor Tells Health Officials
"We rely on the forceful application of law democratically debated and approved as the principal instrument of our public health policy," proclaimed New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (D) to an enthusiastic audience of public health officials on June 14, 2006 at the CDC's "The Public Health and the Law in the 21st Century: Fifth Annual Partnership Conference" in Atlanta. Putting the emphasis on "control," the New York Mayor voiced support for more laws more strictly enforced by the nation's health police to solve the problem of rampant diabetes and other chronic illnesses plaguing the American people these days.
In what has become a familiar theme since the events of September 11, 2001, politicians are feeding the insatiable appetite of public health officials to force medical treatment on people. With so many Americans chronically ill and disabled after adhering to public health policies and mandates advocating increased use of prescription drugs and vaccines over the past half century, government officials are anxious to blame the poor health of America on the citizens themselves. "Blame the Victim" is a convenient out for government officials who are responsible for protecting the public health.
During the past five years, there have been a number of state and federal laws which have seriously eroded civil liberties in America. Many have involved handing over unprecendented power to government health officials to force citizens to engage in medical interventions without their informed consent. Politicians like Mayor Bloomberg appear to have little appreciation for the inherent danger in giving doctors employed by the State the power to force citizens to follow doctors' orders.
The book "The Nazi Doctors and the Nuremberg Code" by George Annas and Michael Grodin details many reasons why citizens of all states should require doctors to adhere to the ethical principle of informed consent when advocating citizens engage in any kind of medical treatment for the "greater good" of society.

Mayo Clinic's Greg Poland, who is a member of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), is calling for laws requiring all health care workers to be forced to get flu vaccinations. His suggestion is the latest in a series of calls for forced vaccination of citizens.
It is well known that two-thirds of all health care workers do not get annual flu vaccinations just like two-thirds of Americans don't get flu vaccinations. A bout with the flu now and then is no big deal for most people. Despite the billion dollar ad campaign being waged by the pharmaceutical industry and government to strike fear into the hearts of all Americans about getting the flu, most of us know the flu vaccine is both useless and risky.
When the CDC tried to persuade health care workers who would be "first responders" in a bioterrorism attack to get smallpox vaccinations post-September 11, 2001, the health care workers of America "just said no" and the Administration's mass vaccination scheme fizzled. When public health types in Washington state tried to force hospital nurses to get flu vaccinations or be fired, the nurses union took them to court and won the right to refuse to get flu vaccinations without informed consent. Later, hospital officials tried to force unvaccinated nurses to wear masks and the nurses took them to court again and won again.
Over the long run, forced medical interventions that carry risks do not work, except in repressive political systems that allow elitist groups within society to force others to risk their lives for what the elitists have decided is the "greater good." There are many examples in history when government health officials and those they persuade to do their bidding have wielded power and taken away civil and human rights. During the past century, the Third Reich in Germany during World War II and Communist China both suspended the human right to informed consent to medical interventions forced on the people by "health" officials. It started with bans on smoking and forced TB treatment and proceeded to forced abortions and euthanasia.
The right to informed consent to medical interventions, including vaccination, is a human right. Protecting individual inviolability becomes even more important when government health officials refuse to acnowledge biodiversity and inhumane one-size-fits-all vaccine policies end up targeting the genetically vulnerable for sacrifice.

Every day that government health officials lie to the people about vaccine risks is one more day that the public loses a little more trust in what they are told by government. Do public health authorities and pediatricians really think that mothers and fathers are going to passively accept the brain damaging and killing of their children with unsafe vaccines? Do they really believe that the letters written after their names will protect them when the public knows the whole truth about what they have done to so many innocent children around the world?
Little 17 month old George Duncan and Anna Fisher died 10 days after their MMR vaccinations in Great Britain, both of them suffering symptoms of vaccine reactions prior to their deaths. MMR vaccine is known to induce brain inflammation and death within 8 to 14 days after vaccination.
The parents of both dead babies are demanding answers from British government health authorities, who have been persecuting Dr. Andrew Wakefield for his warning about the dangers of the live MMR vaccine. They and parents like them are standing up and coming forward to witness what has happened to their babies at the hands of pediatricians who told them that vaccines, including the MMR vaccine, are absolutely safe.

Senator Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) has been an outspoken proponent of transparency and accountability in government, especially at the Department of Health and Human Services. On June 14, 2006, he got a taste of just how powerful federal health officials have become when he showed up at DHHS last week but left empty handed after officials denied his request for pre-licensure data on the safety of Ketek, an Aventis antibiotic that has been associated with severe liver damage. One person associated with pre-licensure clinical trials has already gone to prison for fraud.
What Senator Grassley learned first hand is that the Department of Health and Human Services operates rather like an extra-territorial government.
Congress has allowed the M.D./Ph.D. officials at the helm to be given authority historically reserved for heads of State such as monarchs, prime ministers and presidents. Optic neuritis is a demyelinating inflammation of the optic nerve. Many times development of optic neuritis precedes development of multiple sclerosis (MS), which is inflammation of the myelin sheath of the brain.
More than 75 percent of all females who develop optic neuritis go on to develop MS.
Multiple sclerosis, which affects more than 1 million people worldwide, is a dreaded chronic disease because it can cause severe deterioration of the brain and block nerve signals that control muscle coordination, strength, sensation and vision. Multiple sclerosis has been positively associated with hepatitis B vaccine in studies linvestigating the biological mechanism of molecular mimicry.
All vaccines have the potential to cause inflammation in the body, particularly brain inflammation leading to permanent brain damage. The pathetic attempts by the pencil pushers to write off onset of brain and immune system dysfunction after vaccination in previously healthy people as just a "coincidence" will not wash. UK Docs Attack Wakefield
In 1997, Andy Wakefield, M.D. was a guest speaker at the First International Public Conference on Vaccination sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center in Washington, D.C. The title of his talk was "Measles Virus and Measles Vaccine: Lessons to be Learned" and he made his presentation despite threats from people in high places in the medical profession in Great Britain and elsewhere who warned him his career was on the line.
Although Kathi Williams and I assured him we would understand and the audience would understand if he had to withdraw in order to save his career, Dr. Wakefield declined the offer. Refusing to be bullied by those acting more like hit men in a medical mafia than healers, he said "I will not live my life in fear." He believed what he had discovered about measles virus, MMR vaccine, intestinal bowel disease and and autism was something that had to be discussed publicly to prevent more children from being harmed.
From the moment Andy Wakefield stood his ground and said "I will not live my life in fear" and then went on to talk with me about how important it was to stand up for the truth even though you risk your life to do it, I knew he was an extraordinary individual. I knew he would make history but pay a terrible price for it.
During the past 25 years of work to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and defend the informed consent ethic, I have seen doctors who tell the truth about vaccine risks be viciously attacked by their colleagues in government, industry and academia. The attacks are both professional and personal and, with surgical precision, the goal is to evisicerate rather than simply stun the victim. It is an ugly process and it has a distinctly Spanish Inquisition flavor to it.

Public health officials have had an unhealthy obsession with mircoorganisms for nearly 200 years and have successfully communicated their fear of germs to the general public, which is now infected with the same fear. Like an Army on amphetamines, the M.D./Ph.D. public health generals directing the War on Disease have hunted down microorganisms using humans injected with antibiotics or vaccines they have created as weapons.
In their ignorance, they have failed to take into account the evolution of man and the viruses and bacteria which have co-existed with man for as long as he has walked the earth. Now, the human immune system is being manipulated from the first day of life and throughout childhood through injection of multiple vaccines containing lab altered viruses and bacteria and toxic additives. Unable to function and mature normally, meeting the challenge from viruses and bacteria by stimulating and resolving inflammation, the immature human immune system is crippled and gets "stuck" on inflammation.
If children are genetically vulnerable to autoimmune dysfunction, they are the first to become stuck on inflammation after vaccnation. Millions of inflammed children, suffering from asthma, juvenile diabetes, autism, developmental delays, inflammatory bowel disease, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, severe, life threatening allergies and other neurimmune dysfunction never had a chance to mature into healthy teenagers and adults.

Slowly but surely, the epidemic of chronic disease and disability affecting millions of learning disabled, hyperactive, autistic, developmentally delayed children is beginning to be acknowledged by the American medical community. The data collected in the 2003 National Survey of Children's Health is just the tip of the iceberg, as pediatrician researchers at University of Virginia seem to suggest.
At risk are not just the individual children suffering from learning and behavior disorders with biological causes, but their families and communities. The chronic disease and disability epidemic is having profound and catastrophic effects on American society and these effects will only worsen economically and socially in the future.
Public health officials, who continue to promote one-size-fits all vaccination policies which do not take into account genetic and other biological differences between our children, are responsible for what has happened. By insisting that all children use 48 doses of 14 vaccines by age six, they have set up the genetically vulnerable for chronic inflammation leading to neuroimmune dysfunction.

The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) co-signed a letter to the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) along with other parent and health advocacy organizations supporting removal of mercury from vaccines. In 1999, the federal government vowed to remove mercury from all vaccinations routinely administered to infants and children. However, the flu vaccine still contains the mercury preservative thimerosal, and is now routinely administered to pregnant women, infants and children. The Institute of Medicine recommended in 2001 that thimerosal be removed from vaccines administered to these sensitive groups, but the recommendation fell on deaf ears at CDC.
According to the EPA, one in every six women of childbearing age already has blood levels of mercury high enough to cause neurological damage to their unborn children due to environmental exposures alone. Thimerosal-containing vaccines given to infants can result in mercury levels known to cause adverse neurological outcomes. "Injecting even more mercury into the bodies of pregnant women, infants and children when it is not a necessary component of vaccines is just bad medicine," states Lyn Redwood, president of SafeMinds and parent of a mercury-injured child.

pandemic, about one-third of the population became infected and about 10
percent of those infected died. The vaccine benefit risk ratio might well
tip in favor of either escaping infection or recovering naturally from the
disease rather than deliberately taking a risk with an experimental pandemic
flu vaccine.
But if a pandemic flu vaccine were really the low risk lifesaver it is meant
to be, a more humane prioritizing of scarce vaccine supplies might be to
allocate them to those with the greatest chance of dying from the infection.
And that would be entirely dependent upon the nature of the particular
influenza virus circulating and whether it was especially lethal for certain
groups of individuals.
The serious business of deciding who gets a lifeboat when the ship is
sinking should involve people from all segments of society. The people, not
the "experts," should decide.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Five companies received more than $1 billion in contracts to develop new and better influenza vaccines, and to make them on U.S. territory, the U.S. Health and Human Services Department said on Thursday.

If the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services has given $1 billion dollars out of the taxpayers pocketbook to drug companies to create new flu vaccines, you can bet that when those flu vaccines are ready to be sold to a public they have conditioned to live in abject fear of a case of the flu, government health officials will be lobbying states to pass laws mandating that every citizen get a flu shot every year.
How else will those drug companies make big bucks after they get a big handout from Uncle Sam for creating vaccines that public health officials persuade politicians to force everybody to use?
The irony is that if the M.D./Ph.D. "experts" are wrong about mandated use of flu vaccine from birth to prevent all natural experience with type A and type B flu, if their zealous enforcement of mass vaccination policies create a virgin population without any immunological experience with the natural disease, then the day that pandemic flu virus does show up, it might well take out half of humanity.
It is dangerous business to make us vaccine dependent, vulnerable to vaccine-induced chronic inflammation as well as unable to successfully meet the challenge from flu viruses without serious complications. But then, there is always money to be made in developing drugs to try to counteract the problems too much vaccination creates.

The Public Citizen's May 4, 2006 report, Willful Misconduct: How Bill Frist and the Drug Lobby Covertly Bagged a Liability Shield, details how top drug company and U.S. public health and justice officials colluded with each other and a few members of Congress to shield the pharmaceutical industry from liability.
The report confirms the public warning of the National Vaccine Information Center, Liability Shield Given to Pharma and the Oct. 19, 2005 press release - Congress Set to Pass Law Eliminating Liability for Vaccine Injuries and the Nov. 15, 2005 press release - Congress Set To Bail Out Big Pharma in Secret.
NVIC's early alarm stimulated national press coverage of the upcoming dirty deal but was not enough to stop the deal from being done. The winners? Drug company executives, their stockholders and politicians who take drug money to stay in office. The losers? Vaccines, like any other product sold in a free enterprise system, should be subject to the law of supply and demand. If Iowans choose to roll up their sleeves and get another dose of mumps vaccine, that is their right. If Iowans say "no thankyou" to mumps vaccine - for whatever reason - that is their right.

No citizen of any state should be expected to get vaccinated in order to financially underwrite product sales for a drug company marketing vaccines. Increasingly public health officials appear to be more concerned about ensuring a healthy profit margin for vaccine manufacturers than giving health care consumers complete and accurate information about the benefits and risks of vaccines so consumers can engage in informed decision making.

Hyping the exaggerated dangers of a pandemic bird flu potentially wiping out the human race is a profitable business for public health officials and drug companies eager to keep the public in a perpetual state of fear. Fear leads people to do things they ordinarily would not do if they were not running for cover.
Fear persuades politicians to vote for huge sums of taxpayer dollars to give to drug companies and government health agencies so they can collaborate with each other to create experimental pandemic flu vaccines. Fear persuades the people to allow themselves to be governed by new state and federal laws enacted since September 11, 2001 that will enable public health officials and politicians to use military force to arrest, quarantine and vaccinate citizens against their will with experimental vaccines that can kill or cripple them.
And when somebody dies or is crippled by the experimental vaccines they are forced to take after the Secretary of Health and Human Services declares an "emergency," nobody can be held accountable in a court of law: the drug companies making the vaccines, doctors injecting the vaccines, and the militia rounding people up at gunpont and taking them to places where they will be either quarantined or forced to get the vaccines are protected from liabilty by these new laws.
Manufacturing fear of microorganisms is a profitable but dangerous business in America. The civil liberties the M.D./Ph.D. fear mongers thave persuaded politicians to take away in the name of disease control will make America no better than the totalitarian governments in the world ruling their people with fear and oppression.
Doctors Behaving Badly
It is no wonder M.D./Ph.D. researchers find themselves in a credibility gap. We have put them on a pedestal for far too long, creating an elitist class which considers themselves entitled to special entitlements and protection from ethical constraints.
For far too long, the American public has been worshipping at the feet of those who practice science and medicine, naively assuming men and women who gravitate toward the healing arts are somehow exempt from human flaws that tempt them to cut corners or exploit others for profit, career advancement and fame. It has been a costly mistake to allow scientists and doctors to police themselves because we have based our entire health care system on a collective trust they are always telling the truth.
Transparency, accountability and justice are three values which will help keep the scientific research process and those who operate it truthful. The public should have full access to all scientific data and analysis used to proclaim a medical intervention is safe and effective for human use. Those who accept responsibility for proclaiming a medical intervention safe and effective should be held accountable if they are not truthful. And those who are harmed by a medical intervention which has been falsely proclaimed to be safe and effective should be able to access the civil court system to seek justice.
